*Trust Is Earned* (Don’t You Trust Me? And Other Loaded Narcissistic Questions)

Narcissists like it when you feel dysregulated, when you harbor feelings of doubt and uncertainty. Dr. Les Carter describes how one of their favorite tactics is gaslighting you with loaded questions for the purpose of you second-guessing your good sense. But as you learn to spot those questions, you can then choose to stand in your good character, not allowing the narcissist a foothold.

Our ex narc-elder would often use loaded questions to gaslight and cause doubt then pummel his victim with what I call ‘Bible Word Salads’ to confuse and derail- the result was fear and confusion.

The Victim Game

A very important video dealing with a Narc’s messages of rejection (or condemnation) and how you can overcome this classic form of gaslighting.

Our ex narc-elder used this form of gaslighting quite frequently; when I stood up and exposed him he turned the tables and played the victim to the local assembly while doubling-down in his efforts to smear me. It was (and is) all part of his coverup regarding his sins/hypocrisy. He truly is a wolf-in-sheep’s clothing, continuing his carnage of narcissistic spiritual abuse on current members of his cult.

Healing From The Damage Caused By A Narcissist

Our ex narc-elder would try to dominate and control all members of the cult. :o)

With their need for control and dominance, narcissists can generate psychological damage that requires much time and effort for healing. Recognizing this, Dr. Les Carter walks you through a series of questions that he has honed through his many conversations with patients moving beyond narcissistic pain. A troubled narcissist ultimately does not have to set your pace emotionally. That is something, with the proper insight and determination, you get to manage.

8 Tactics of the Narcissist and How to Stay Out of Them

Over time, you learn that narcissists have a self-serving agenda that prompts them to relate with twisted logic. Dr. Les Carter explains that instead of trying to set their logic straight, you are better off as you learn how and why they think as they do. To that effect, he identifies 8 of their most common tactics. Once you are able to see into their manipulative patterns and schemes, you can make distinct plans to stay out of the traps they lay in front of you.

Gaslighting in Spiritual Communities :o)

Our ex narc-elder leverages ALL of these gaslighting techniques. He is so full of pride/ego that he cannot receive correction- he hasn’t for years. :o)

He has a Christ or God-complex and has a huge boulder on his property with a plaque that says ‘Stone Which The Builders Rejected.’ This quote is often associated with Jesus Christ and His persecution, yet the inference is that our ex narc-elder is the one who has suffered persecution by ‘factious’ people. In reality, he is deflecting from the fact that he IS the source of faction/discord amongst the brethren.

See picture of the boulder/sign and gaslighting video below.
